This one-of-one Grove Shirt is cut from a soft cotton mattress cover c. 1930s-40s. Originally stitched together from several panels, we preserved the original seams throughout the shirt. Small tears and stains are mended with antique linen. It has a relaxed fit with a slight drop shoulder.

Meandering parks, a spiritual connection to nature, and a quest for awe and beauty blossom amidst the mechanical and utilitarian. Literature described it as a "combining of the geometric and the natural”.

Our Grove Shirt searches for a similar harmony. We orient ourselves towards workwear sensibilities with our classic shirting details and double-stitched chest pockets. Yet, a sweeping split hem, imperfect gathers, and mismatched antique buttons introduce a Romantic roundness. It’s a balance between the pastoral and the practical.
