The Sally Shirt
When Sally Wood sold the farm to Farmer Jon, she still visited in the afternoons for the bruised fruit. We’d set aside the produce every morning, and by week’s end, she’d cooked them down into jam for us to sell in the stand. This shirt is a nod to Sally and the farm.
The Sally Shirt is cut from a textural Japanese puppytooth that reminds me of tilled soil and rows of crops. Two chest pockets with flaps signify a work shirt, and the oddly-spaced buttons—mismatched and antique—specify work only done by hand.
Fits generously for easy movement. We recommend your true size.
Sam is 6’0 and wears a Medium.
Fabric
Yarn-dyed linen/cotton (55/45) from Japan with a ridged surface similar to seersucker. The sage green cast to this fabric is created by weaving together light blue and straw yellow fibers. Lightweight, breezy, drapes beautifully. Dyed in Okayama by expert craftsmen with a technique unique to the mill.
