The Windrow Shirt is my contribution to the New England tradition of the two-pocket wool overshirt. For our final run, I’m sharing the last clutch of our undyed New England “pebble twill” wool, woven by Peggy Hart in Shelburne Falls, MA on antique Crompton & Knowles industrial dobby looms.

Every step of producing this cloth—from where the sheep grazed to where the fiber was spun —happened within 150 miles of each other. The brown and white yarns come from brown and white sheep. It’s extraordinary to have cloth of this provenance and quality today. I’m honored to sew with it.

The Windrow Shirt has a relaxed fit. We recommend your regular size, or size up for heavy layering.
