Stadium Buttondown in Windowpane Check Wool c. 1830s | Size XL

$1,200.00

Edition of 1

This Stadium Buttondown is cut from an heirloom windowpane wool blanket handwoven in the USA c. 1830s. This wool has been worn and compressed over its lifetime, creating an almost flaxen texture. The blanket was originally sewn in two panels, and we incorporate the original seam throughout the shirt.

The Stadium Buttondown:

The Stadium Buttondown volleys between suit jacket and overshirt. Buttoned up, the neckline is reminiscent of a classic, collarless baseball jersey. Buttoned down, these curves become rounded lapels. Features a single angled welt pocket on the chest.

Partially lined in rinsed white linen. Closed with antique cow bone buttons dyed in-house with black walnut.

Relaxed with a slight drop shoulder. We recommend your true size. Dry clean only.
